George Walker Dies at 73 After Golden Wedding

George Daniel Walker, aged 73 years 11 months 9 days, died March 19 1951 at Brown ing after moving from his farm with his wife Amata Hawkins Walker. He leaves two sisters, wife, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral March 20 at Mt Zion Methodist Church conducted by Rev Wm Scenogle. pallbearers listed. interment at nearby cemetery.

Browning Plans Picture Show After Fire Loss

About 45 Browning citizens met March 15 1951 at the American Legion Hall to form a temporary motion picture show committee after the Electric Theatre fire. Gerald I. Wade was named chairman along with H W Dobby Hamilton as secretary treasurer and Harley Hawkins James Rudloff and Raymond Rottmann on the committee. The group will investigate a temporary show and plan a permanent organization, reporting back by March 21.
