Funeral Services for Mrs Lucille Bennett

The Wellsville community paid last respects to Lucille Bennett 45 with funeral services at Wells ville Methodist Church. She died Tuesday after long illness and was survived by two sons Ralph E. Jr. and Walter Frankie Bennett, parents Walter and Carrie Sayers, a sister and a brother.

Abbie Gale Beller daughter of Uel and Martha Jane Bel ler born March 25 1875 Sullivan County Missouri died March 13 1950 aged 74 years 11 months and 16 days. Browning High School plans a 8 p.m. March 30 concert in the auditorium featuring Music Department contest entries for the District Music Contests at Kirksville March 31 and April 1. A silver offering will fund contest expenses. March 24 the Junior class goes skating in Chillicothe. The Senior play His Ozark Cousin advances with daily practice. Browning girls lost Linn County Conference first place to Bucklin 30 to 18 at Laclede. Browning boys edged Bucklin Junior High 24 to 23 in the final minutes.

Local Man Wins corn Yield Honors

J. N. Mundell of Browning Missouri won honors with a Macorn yield of 109 bushels per acre, announced in Columbia by the M F A Plant Foods and Seed Divisions. Mundell raised the 109 bushels on five acres as a test field. results show many entries over 100 bushels, with Lynn Akeman of Miami taking first at 140 bushels.

Funeral Service for C. B. Fleming Held Friday

Funeral services for C. B. Fleming will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the Christian Church with interment in Jenkins Cemetery.
