Death of Dr. W. C. Ingram Shocks Browning Community
Dr. W C Ingram of Anagan Missouri died suddenly of a heart attack. A Vanderbilt and Washington University graduate and World War I lieutenant, he long served Browning and supported local good works. He was born October 17 1863 and died March 12 aged 77 years 4 months 15 days. He left a widow and two sons and a grandson, with funeral services at M E Church South conducted by Rev O B Hobbs. His life of ministry and charity left a strong local legacy.

A Monday night blaze likely from a defective dust resulted in the destruction of the Singleton residence near the Light school house. Nolan Singleton alerted by telephone from the Levi Sparks home as flames overtook the house around midnight. Only a few pieces of furniture were saved. the farm is owned by Thos Say.
