Garrett Prather on March 8 1938 died in his sleep at age 79 after a long life in Kentucky and Missouri. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Cotter Prather and daughter Violet Frances Bates. Funeral services were at the Methodist Church South with Rev. Owen and Rev. Hobbs. interment Hoover Cemetery.

Willing Workers Club Meets for Quilt Making Session
The Willing Worker Club met with Mrs. Am Brinkley on Wednesday March 2 for an all day session. Members quilted a flower garden quilt and did rug rag work. A delightful dinner was served at noon. A regular meeting followed with roll call and house cleaning tips. One new member, Mrs Ferdie White, joined. Visitors included Mrs Jack Kenley Mrs Charlie Lay and Mrs Mack Hagan. Adjournment set to meet Mrs Taylor Brown on March 16.

North Salem Quilting Club All Day Meet
