Saturday night Harold Russell, Lloyd Neely, and Irvin Tipton were returning from near Green City when their car skidded toward a bridge. The iron banister on the south side tore through the radiator and engine, stopping the Model T from plunging into a deep creek. Irvin had scratches, Lloyd suffered a broken shoulder and cuts, Harold was head and facial wounds with a bruised leg.
