Mrs. Ann Dodge Sykes Rites Held in Brookfield
Mrs. Ann Dodge Sykes died at her daughter’s Brookfield home after a lingering illness. The service was at the Methodist Episcopal church in Idin with burial in Purdin cemetery. She was born December 24, 1853 in Purdin, Missouri, married George L. Gedge in 1872, later wed A. Sykes in 1921. she leaves children, siblings, and grandchildren. The obituary notes her long church membership and community support.
