The Browning baseball club defeated the Trenton Merchants 11 to 8 at Eastside Park in Trenton. Browning built a 6 to 0 lead by the end of the third, extended to 11 to 2 by the seventh before allowing six late runs. Dickinson pitched, fanning eight. Hampton struck out seven for Trenton. A. Stitch and Chatter Club Meets for Quilting in June
The Stitch and Chatter Club held a meeting on Thursday June 10 with Sylvia attending. Members limited to afternoon due to turkey tending and garden tasks. The discussion focused on turkey care and garden pest remedies while quilting blocks were prepared though unfinished. Mrs. Sargent and Sylvia planned to finish the quilts later.
