Wedding of Harvey F. Dickinson Held Friday

One of the prettiest weddings in Memphis occurred at the West Memphis home of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Weigner. Arlene June Weigner and Harvey Fields Dickinson wed in a candlelit ceremony in the living room with a white ramble and delphinium motif. The couple planned to move to Madison, Wisconsin, for graduate work after a reception attended by family and friends from Browning, Canton, Decatur, Chicago and other areas.

Browning Loses to Chillicothe in 7-2 Defeat on Sunday

Browning faced a weakened lineup missing four regulars and fell 7 to 2 to Chillicothe. Moore pitched six strong innings before tiring in the sixth as four Chillicothe runners scored. Reed held Browning to four scattered hits, with two coming from Stone.

City Auto and Dog Taxes Due Dates Set

Miss Orvyl Adams Weds James B. Smith in Alabama

Miss Orvyl Adams and James B. Smith of Kewanee Ill were married at 6 39 p m at St Pauls rectory with Father L M Burns officiating. The bride wore a dark blue suit and pink tea rose bouquet. After a reception at the Buis home the couple planned a Chicago trip and will reside at 612 S Main, Kewanee Ill.

J S L Fields Dies at 76 in Missouri Community

John Samuel Loree Fields born March 4 1859 in Sullivan County Missouri died June 28 1937 at home near his birthplace aged 76 years 3 months 24 days He survived by wife Rebecca V Brumbaugh and many children grandchildren and relatives funeral at home conducted by Rev C B Hobbs with interment in Fields cemetery. Numerous relatives attended and ice cream and cake were served after.

Wheat harvest appears a near failure in this area with heavy rains and heat blamed for poor grain development. G F Peters and Rev Hobbs tried an old cradle to cut and shock the crop but found heads small and shriveled. Oats, by contrast, show a promising outlook for a good crop.
