Campaign to collect rubber begins nationwide

A major wartime effort starts this week urging every citizen to search homes farms and yards for soap rubber. Gas stations will act as collection points paying a penny per pound for tires and rubber articles. Oil firms will sell gathered rubber to a government reclaiming company with profits donated to the U.S. C. the Army and Navy relief and the Red Cross.
