Prof R L Seaman Resigns from Okmulgee High School

After four years as head of the commercial department Prof R L Seaman resigns to become office manager for W R Alexander & Company. His resignation was accepted with regret by the school board noting pleasant relations and service.

Improvements Complete at Tile Works and Kiln

Haggard and Carr finished a new cement kiln the last of the week to aid their tile production. The kiln, among the best in the region, handles several hundred tiles at a time using steam heat to dry and harden. They expect to ship multiple rail cars soon and have expanded buildings including a new street-facing office.

Wool Load Brings Record Price in Local Sale

Saturday Harmony and Keith Ley delivered 289 fleeces weighing into a wagon for the Government agent. The sale brought $1,451.74, a near record for the area as the pair noted tiring but satisfied after handling sheep and wool.
