After four years as head of the commercial department Prof R L Seaman resigns to become office manager for W R Alexander & Company. His resignation was accepted with regret by the school board noting pleasant relations and service.
Haggard and Carr finished a new cement kiln the last of the week to aid their tile production. The kiln, among the best in the region, handles several hundred tiles at a time using steam heat to dry and harden. They expect to ship multiple rail cars soon and have expanded buildings including a new street-facing office.
The list records numerous donors and amounts for the National Red Cross drive in Browning and vicinity. Highlights include 110 from Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Harm on, 50 from Browning Savings Bank, and multiple contributors across local banks and families, totaling substantial community support.

At the annual election of the A F and A M Biswell Lodge No 510 officers for the ensuing year were named C Li Lay W M C W Haggard S W A B Cra in J W J E Marvin Treasurer and J W Smith Secretary. The finances are in excellent condition and they recently invested 249 70 in war saving certificates showcasing patriotism and active membership.
Saturday Harmony and Keith Ley delivered 289 fleeces weighing into a wagon for the Government agent. The sale brought $1,451.74, a near record for the area as the pair noted tiring but satisfied after handling sheep and wool.
