In circuit court Judge Fred Lamb extended Woolridge Golden’s two year sentence for assault to kill after Golden threatened officers and officials. The punishment rose to five years upon Golden’s confession, with the judge ordering the increased term amid curses and a demand for more time. Linn County Budget.
D Clem Deaver of the Burling ton Route urges farmers to store corn as silage to boost profits. He cites 12 tons per acre potential and shows silos can turn feed into milk calves and lambs, stressing quick action with the slogan Farmers Build Silos Dont Wait Do It Now.

Rev W C G Potter performs a double ceremony uniting Robert Cochran of near Milan and Anna Elliott with Charles Crowdis and Nora Elliott of Browning. The brides are daughters of J D Elliott. Cochran and Crowdis are young farmers. The Leader-Record extends congratulations.
The McCord Stock Company played at the opera house on Thursday Friday and Saturday nights to good sized crowds. Each show was praised as the best with all performers excellent. Visitors from the city endorse the high class entertainment and praise Manager Whaley. They plan to return around the first of July.
