Funeral Services Held for Meda Alspach in Brookfield

Meda Alspach died at McLarney Hospital in Brookfield on Wednesday February 8 1950. Funeral services were held Friday February 10 at the Christian Church with Rev. William Scenogle officiating and interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. Survived by brother Frederick J Alspach and seven nieces and two nephews, among many relatives.

Walter A. Wood and Martin Baugher attended a Des Moines luncheon February 9 with DeKalb Agri when awards were given to state champions in the DeKalb corn growing contest. Phillip Marshall of Winfield Iowa led with 190.90 bushels per five acre plot and Ivin McPike of Skidmore Missouri followed at 139.44 bushels. An instructional lecture covered European corn borer control methods.
