C B Fleming and Miss Bessie Carter wed at Mrs Sallie Carter’s home in the city with Rev W C G Potter officiating at ten o clock. The ceremony was intimate with close relatives and friends. The couple then hosted a wedding dinner at the bride’s parents home, as Fleming is a son of Mr and Mrs F A Fleming and Bessie is the daughter of Mr and Mrs H F Carter. The LEADER-RECORD extends congratulations and best wishes.
The Rev J O Taylor superintendent of the Brookfield district Missouri conference of the Methodist Episcopal church married Miss Susanna B Boring of Clarence Missouri in Kansas City on Tuesday February 6 1912 Rev Dr J J Bentley of St Joseph officiated The couple will reside in Brookfield and church members and citizens send congratulations and welcome Mrs Taylor to her new home
A sunny Sunday wedding united Alonzo M. Street and Emma Myers at the parsonage at 4 o clock by Rev. W. O. G. Potter. Street is a son of Dave Street of near Purdin and a prosperous young farmer. Myers is the daughter of William A. Myers west of town. The couple heads for a bright future as friends extend congratulations.
Residents are urged to ask about Dr Pratt the Brookfield optician who will appear at Lantz and Glaze on Tuesday February 20th.

Messrs Fields and Dun can with Miss Lyda Jolley and Will Smith lead staff unpacking and display of new stock arriving from the St Louis market. Walter Jerome and Martha Hammock were married last Sunday afternoon at the bride's parents home northwest of Purdin. The Rev. Smelsor officiated. The couple, regarded as fine young locals, receive warm congratulations and best wishes from the Purden Enterprise and friends.

Dr Charles Van Wye escaped serious injury after his horse fell into a snow drift and was pinned by a wire fence near Thos Southerland’s residence. He cut his hand but regained mobility after Tom Southerland helped rig shafts and free the animal.
