District Republican Meeting Draws Delegates to Kirksville

A large Republican delegation from every county in the district gathered Thursday at 1 PM in the College of Osteopathy assembly hall Kirksville. Chaired by Tren ton district chairman Chas Gibson, speakers included Grover Dalton state chairman Mrs Rodney Remley and Judge Maurice Hyde along with Walter Blasten and Arthur M Curtis. The highlight was a speech by Curtis eliciting strong applause.

The Board of Education met in special session Monday night and named Dr. W. D. Grice to fill the director position left by M. T. Scott. The fuel contract was awarded to R. E. Harris.
