Obituary for Mason M Burton born 1850 in Louisville died November 30 1933 at his daughter's home near Browning Missouri aged 83 years 8 months and 14 days. Survived by four of nine children and twenty three grandchildren with funeral at his daughter Mrs Herman Lamberts home east of Browning. Burial at Ludow. Card of thanks lists family and neighbors. Crowded Thanksgiving services filled the Methodist church and annex with chairs from other churches to accommodate attendees. Rev Bunting opened with prayer, Bert Bailey read Roosevelt proclamation, Rev Luton delivered the sermon, and participants earned commendation for an evening of music and entertainment.

Fine rain extended through the week easing drought for many households with wells low. It soaked ponds and left roads muddy. Monday brought clear sun and a warm spell resuming after the shower.
