Charles F. Peters son of Mr and Mrs B F Peters born February 26 1892 west of the city grew to manhood. He spent time in the west and south then farmed. He enlisted April 10 1917 with Co K 18th Regiment of the Army and served at a camp before joining the unit in France.

Soldier Dies in Action July 18 Leaves Family Mourning

Last Wednesday a Washington message announced the death of a serviceman killed in action on July 18. He leaves his father and five sisters Mrs. J. W. Brassfield Mrs. Barnie Lay Mrs. A. R. Austin Mrs. Grover Gable and Mrs. Charley Owens. Memorial services will be held at Hoover Cemetery Saturday morning conducted by Rev. J. F. Patton.

Teresia Ann Harrelson Jones born March 30 1858 in Sullivan County Missouri died July 27 1918 aged 60 years 3 months 27 days. She married Robert M Jones May 11 1873 and had ten children eight survive Francis Hoskins Caldwell Ark Sarah Lumsden Alberta Canada Ellis Jones Mollie Franklin John Jones Willard Jones Iva Hollon Cecil Jones. Luther Jones died 1911 at 29 and one child died in infancy. She joined the M E Church South at twelve and was a devoted mother. Funeral conducted by Rev J F Patton Browning, buried Deep Springs Cemetery.

Obituary of Albert N Russell in Missouri community

Albert N Russell son of Johnathon and Mrs Russell was born February 14 1878 in Taylor township Sullivan county Missouri. He married Nora Kilburn in 1892 and they had one son Burwin Lee Russell. He bought a Brookfield area farm about ten years ago and lived there. Converted to the church of Christ ten years ago, he died August 10 after typhoid fever and appendicitis postmortem. He leaves a wife a son two brothers and several sisters in Oregon California Arkansas Washington and Wisconsin. He was industrious and will be missed.
