Wolf Hunt on Macon County Farm Ends in Death of Wolf

John Burwell of Macon County recounts a four hour chase after a wolf threatening nearby sheep. The animal splashed through water and briars before being dispatched in the Chariton River with a club. A $27 bounty accompanied Burwell’s tale of the thrilling hunt.

Were In Wreck. Bollings Back From Ohio Trip

Mr and Mrs B D Bolling returned Friday from Granville Ohio where they visited Mr and Mrs J H Geach and their son Corporal Beverly Bolling at Wilber Wright field Dayton Ohio They were in a railroad wreck at Terre Haute Indiana on the way home Mr Bolling had a broken rib and bruises while Mrs Bolling had bruises and minor cuts One man was killed and others seriously hurt.
