Fordyce appointed to vacancy on BRMC board
Tom Fordyce was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Terry Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors during the regular meeting. He takes the post vacated by John Duggan who left for Tascosa Financial in Amarillo effective May 1. Minnie Hazel Bowman resigned and will be replaced at the next meeting. A 1983 84 budget status report was given by Pat McMillan who said revenues are expected to rise despite three overages. The board reviewed three bids for a new pickup. Plains Motor Co. offered the low bid of 8762 dollars, with an available similar vehicle on the lot at a higher price. The board approved purchasing a 16657 dollar analyzing machine for the laboratory from American Scientific Products and a Utilization and Quality Review Plan mandated by the federal government. An April financial report showed the hospital in good financial shape. The meeting adjourned after a brief executive session with no action.
