R J Rick Udell, veteran auto executive, assumes ownership of Bowman Olds Cadillac Buick Pontiac GMC. He plans no staff changes and aims to boost sales of new Cadillacs Buicks Pontiacs Olds and GMC trucks. Udell came from El Paso where he led Chevrolet sales, and previously worked in Chicago Racine. He is a nine year Navy veteran. His wife Lili is Turkish born. They have two sons John and Joseph. The family plans to move to Brownfield with the younger son enrolling in school.

Fill The Boot Campaign Held By Brownfield Firemen
Brownfield Volunteer Fire Department runs a Fill The Boot drive for Muscular Dystrophy on Saturday March 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Road blocks at Third and Broadway and Third and Hill Streets plus firetrucks draw attention. Coin canisters placed in area businesses collect additional donations.
