Homemakers Cooking School Set This Tuesday Evening

Homemakers Cooking School stage show at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Middle School Auditorium features a complete cooking demonstration, free groceries, door prizes, cookbooks, and coupons. The event, titled Bringing Good Things to You in 82, is open to the public free of charge with a variety pack for attendees and a mirror system to aid viewing.

Brownfield City Council approves 1982-83 budget plan

The Brownfield City Council unanimously approves an eight percent budget increase effective April 1 and OKs a matching eight percent rise in water and garbage rates to fund the plan. Assistant City Manager Dick Fletcher presents Neighborhood Improvement Committee recommendations on housing assistance rental rehabilitation and housing relocation under the community development block grant, detailing current funds of about $154,000 and eligibility rules including income caps and proof of ownership.

Brownfield Crime Information Inc offers 500 dollars for tips leading to arrest and indictment in the Jack's 7-11 robbery on March 11 1982 at about 6 20 am on Lubbock Road. A 1500 dollar reward is offered for information about the NBC Equipment Setec burglary on Lubbock Road March 4 1982 or March 5 with about 30 hand guns taken. A 2500 dollar reward is offered for tips about a Bell Gas Station attendant robbery on March 14 1982 around 1 10 am at 3rd and Broadway. The organization had paid a March 18 reward for information leading to arrests of Scott McCutcheon Wesley Benton and Shane Lacroix charged with vandalis m of the water tower behind Brownfield Plaza on North Cedar.

Geron Submits City Budget with Priority Projects for 1982-83

Brownfield Police Answer 122 Calls In Three Days

Police reports show 122 calls from Tuesday through Friday, including vandalism harassment and a forgery incident at United Supermarket. Three arrests were made two juveniles in a Circle M storage burglary and Shane Paul Lacroix on a felony warrant for painting a city water tower.
