Cooking School Slated Next Tuesday Evening

A free two hour cooking show hosted by a Brownfield News sponsored Homemaker's School will unfold at 7 p.m. on March 23 in the Middle School auditorium. Shelley Davidson will demonstrate 14 new recipes, with door prizes and groceries donated by local supermarkets.

Cooking School At Middle School Auditorium Next Tuesday

ACS To Sponsor April Stop Smoking Clinic

The Terry County Chapter of the American Cancer Society sponsors a free Stop Smoking clinic in April at the First Christian Church. Four two hour sessions on April 5 8 12 and 15 will be conducted by Dr Morris Knox with ideas exercises movies and sessions to help smokers quit and stay smoke free.

Local Man Assaulted And Robbed Sunday in Brownfield

Brownfield police investigate a robbery early Sunday in which a man was assaulted and over 2500 dollars in cash and checks taken. The victim described the suspect as a mid twenties, six foot, 200 pound male with light stubble. Police say multiple vehicles are being checked and two shoplifters were caught recently.
