Cubs finish strong at Brownfield Relays behind Morris
Brownfield high school earned a second place overall at the Brownfield Relays led by Coach James Morris. In Division I girls Brownfield scored 96 points to place second behind Amarillo 128. In Division II boys Brownfield also took second with 141 points behind Estacado 163. Monterey led Division II with 128 points.

Additions Drive February Permits Boost City Output
February permits total $166,740, up from January’s $103,175, lifting year to date to $373,090. Additions to residences led with 12 permits totaling $43,415, while four new home permits accounted for $161,500. One commercial permit, $60,000 for Noble Insurance at Second and Broadway, and two other permits for $3,500 and $1,500 completed 19 total permits.

Up With People Celebrates 10th Birthday Tour
The Brownfield Chamber hosts the international Up With People program visiting March 10. Public show at 7:30 p.m. in the Middle School Auditorium with tickets $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for students. Cast members will stay with local families as part of a nationwide and international outreach.
