Elderly Man Beaten at Nursing Home By Resident
A 94-year-old resident of Tumbleweed Nursing Home was beaten in the dining room by a 58-year-old fellow patient. Jessie Cano sustained a severe head injury, broken hip, and facial trauma, prompting 911 calls at 5:54 a.m. on June 20. He underwent surgery, was released, and then moved to Covenant Hospital before transfer to another facility. Police investigation is ongoing with conflicting family accounts.
