Lowell Hunt publisher and general manager announced staff changes at the Brown field NEWS naming Larry Smallwood as assistant manager and advertising manager. Tom Petty joined the advertising department after moving from Lubbock and residing at 409 E Tate. Petty, 28, studied advertising and marketing at Texas Tech and served with the Army at Fort Hood before joining NEWS.
