Brownfield youths will clean streets Thursday through Saturday aiding the citywide cleanup. For one dollar they will stencil house numbers on trash cans and chain lids to keep them secure, following a local ordinance reminder from City Sanitarian Jim North Cutts.

Services Slated For Mrs. Ida Walker

Funeral services for Ida Walker 83 are set for 4 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Crow officiating. She died at 8 40 a.m. Wednesday at Brownfield Convalescent Home after a long illness. A Terry County resident since 1948 she moved here from Gainesville to live with her children after her husband’s death. Survivors include son M W Walker and daughter Mrs Mattie Brown both of Brownfield one brother Perry Ashcraft of Lindale two sisters Mrs Jane Dean of Tyler and Mrs Eva Graham of Lindale four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
