Rain and Hail Strike Terry County Crops Hard
The northern Terry County region saw heavy rain and golf ball sized hail last Friday night, damaging crops. Meadow Coop Gin reports about 3,500 acres affected with some replanting or new crops possible, while areas east of Meadow were hardest hit. Brownfield recorded 0.36 inches, with county totals varying from 0.15 to 3 inches at local gins and farms.

Military graveside service for Jay D Titus 88 of Clyde was held June 23 in Clyde Cemetery. Retired U S Air Force Lt Colonel Titus died June 21 at home. He moved to Clyde in 1973 from Abilene and was a 32nd degree Mason. He leaves two sons five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
