FHA Officers Attend Brownfield Leadership Workshop
Officers of the Brownfield Future Homemakers of America Chapter attended a local leadership workshop at Brownfield High School from 9 to 1 Monday through Tuesday. Attending were Leslie Decker Billie Blackstock Jana Floyd Lanette Daughtery and Jane Singletery. Miss Sue Jo Cole and Cynthia Brown home economics teachers will accompany.

Ground Beef Muffin Bakes With Creamed Potato Center
Combine one pound ground beef four percent cup bread crumbs quarter cup milk one teaspoon salt and quarter teaspoon pepper. Line greased muffin cups with four inch thick layer. Bake at 325 F for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve with centers filled by creamed potatoes.
Couple Pedge Vows In June 13 Ceremony
Miss Janice Darlene Townsend became the bride of James Daniel Holden in Modesto California with Paul Miller officiating. The bride and groom with families and friends celebrated at a church social hall prior to a wedding trip to the mountains. The couple will reside in Forestville Maryland after July 1.

Fire Auxiliary In Monday Meet At Brownfield Station
The Brownfield Firemen's Auxiliary met Monday evening at the fire station with Arlene Loftis presiding. Mildred Meek gave the devotional and Viola Simmonds reported on the state convention in Lubbock. Simmonds was elected fourth vice president, the first from this area to win the post, and will move to president in four years. A nominating committee was chosen for August officer elections. Seventeen members and two guests attended. In Stockholm Sweden a church unity service featured an American Roman Catholic bishop and a Lutheran bishop as ecumenical tide softens a statutory ban on preaching by non ordained ministers.
