Janet Dee Parker will instruct at the high school gym at 9 30 a m with no fee for ten lessons for beginners and novices. Participants must bring their own baton. Morris teaches the life saving course at the County Swimming Pool with twenty registered.
Eddie Courtney of The Cowboy Store is a devoted cowboy at heart and runs a Levelland linked shop with Alvin Davis in its ninth year and a nearby Texas location. A Craig Motor Co sign proclaims the price quality lesson. Coffee at area eateries tops 15 cents, while subscription carriers earn praise for courtesy and effort. Wishing Mrs. Jake Gore a quick recovery after surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.
More than an inch of rain flooded Cub Stadium forcing the Lions Club Summer Track Meet to be postponed until Saturday June 21. James Morris director says 20 towns were notified and only a few cars arrived. If weather holds the event will run with field events at 1 pm preliminaries at 2 pm and finals at 6 pm.
