Snell to resign at local Brownfield bank in July
Bruce Zorns announced that Marion A. Snell, Brownfield State Bank vice president, will resign effective July 15 to join First National Bank in Big Spring as vice president and executive committee member. Snell joined Brownfield State Bank in 1964 and is active in civic affairs, earning Outstanding Young Man of the Year honors in 1968.

Officials Investigate Theft Of Rings At Staudts Jewelry

Annual Summer Track Meet Slated Saturday
The fifth annual track meet sponsored by the Noon Lions Club will be held at Cub Stadium on Saturday June 20 with 22 area towns registered. Field events start 9 30 a.m. preliminaries 10 a.m. finals 2 p.m. Divisions cover boys and girls by age with five groups plus an open men’s division. About 400 youngsters from 17 teams are expected from towns to the north.
