High Plains Boll Weevil Control Plan Tested by USDA
The High Plains conducts a two week start June 4 in Dickens county Texas to test sterile male and female boll weevils release on 90 acres at Bill Glenn farm. About 45 000 sterilized weevils released with 500 per acre aim to curb reproduction over a seven day life, part of a broader effort led by Dr Ted Vich at USDA Boll Weevil Research Laboratory.
