The Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee released policies Friday for the 1465 feed grain program. Diverted acres must be in whole fields or in reasonably sized blocks within fields to qualify.
County committee outlines eligible diverted production, detailing plot counts by totals from under 100 acres to over 200 acres. It restricts deviations without prior approval and excludes land not suitable for feed grain or already used for non agricultural purposes. Terry County farmers urged to plant cover crops on planned diverted acreage.
