Terry County roped off a crowded rodeo week from Monday to Saturday with shows Thursday Friday and Saturday and a Thursday parade at 4 30 pm. Eleven parade entries include Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups plus clubs and study groups with free rodeo tickets as prizes. Paving Costs Local 65-Block Project Expected Drop
City Engineer M R Smith says this summer’s 65-block paving project will cost 2.65 dollars per running foot for 40-foot paving and 2.45 dollars for 36-foot streets. City Manager Eunice Jones notes the 1941 project had 2.95 dollars per running foot for 40-foot paving.

Memorial Day Services Honor Terry County Veterans
Memorial Day observances Monday on the courthouse lawn honored Terry county veterans who died in combat. A red rose marked each commemorated grave while Gold Star Mothers received corsages. A Spanish American War veteran was recognized. The event included a graveside VFW ritual, a rifle salute, and Taps.

Teenagers Involved In Two Vehicle Crash Downtown
A fifteen year old boy and a girl were involved in a collision at the intersection of Tohoka road and Lubbock highway Tuesday morning. Damages were 97.50 to the boy's car and 50 to the girl's. Police charged the boy with improper driving and stopping and the girl with improper passing.

Mail Delivery For South Side Depends On Residents Petition
