Home Extension clubs mark 45 years in Terry County

Terry County Home Extension clubs celebrated 45 years with a Thursday gathering from 2 to 6 p.m. at Coleman Park Amphitheater. Pictured are Jane Blay Ava Gay Dill Clara Miller Lillian Winston Dora Mae Wooley who co organized the event. An annual spring roundup and parade is planned for June 7 8 and 9 at the Brownfield Rodeo grounds hosted by the Sheriff Passes District Two.

Art Association to meet Monday in Brownfield

The Brownfield Art Association will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. for the last meeting until September. Jean Green, an oil landscape artist from Olton, will be the guest artist. Virginia Pendergrass, Artist of the Month for June, will have her paintings hung at Hope Medical Clinic and then at Brownfield State Bank and First National Bank of Brownfield in July. Mae Barnett of Plains will install officers for 1985 86 with Eloise Brown as President and a full slate of vice presidents, secretaries, and a treasurer listed.
