14th Muldrow awards handed out at BISD breakfast
Rosa Garcia Charley Hargrave and Mercie Martin received the 14th Annual A M Muldrow Awards at the BISD end of school breakfast in the high school commons. Awards of 300 dollars honor a Brownfield administrator teacher and auxiliary employee for promoting race relations. Dorothy Burnett retired after 31 years with BISD.

BISD Sets June to July Summer School at Brownfield High
Brownfield High School hosts a six week summer program from June 6 to July 18 for grades nine through 12. Registration runs 8 am to noon Wednesday with a 50 dollar tuition per half credit for BISD students and 75 dollars for nonresidents. Courses include English math government health and typing. The program does not count toward early graduation and aims to help students earn credits or pursue enrichment. A principal authorization letter is required to enroll.
