Brownfield City Council accepted Plains Motors bid to trade a 1976 Chevrolet for a 1982 Oldsmobile Delta 85, delivering immediately and matching specs, while rejecting Kelsay Blacklock for missing white sidewall tires. A second bid for 1,090 feet of galvanized fence at the new landfill was approved as the lowest of six. Construction on the sewage treatment plant proceeds toward a September 20 completion, and a 1983 Terry County tax budget share for Brownfield is outlined.
