Brownfield couple wed in First Christian Church ceremony
Laura Ann Proctor and Britton W. Bowman exchanged vows in a double ring service at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 16 at First Christian Church of Brownfield officiated by Rev. Bill Bowman. The bride wore a satin gown with lace and beading and a cathedral train. A reception followed and the couple will reside in Brownfield after a honeymoon to Cloudcroft New Mexico.

The Gomez Extension Home makers Club met at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Joyce Britton's home with James Stone presiding. Minutes were read in secretary absence, treasurer's report given, and future program "Teaching Others" announced. Vivian Stone was named delegate nominee to the TEHA state meeting in Amarillo in September. 12-year-old 4-H member Chris Brian demonstrated dress making.
