Sunday Wreck Takes Life Of Meadow Youth
A one car rollover 7.7 miles north of Brownfield on FM 3262 early Sunday morning claimed the life of Jerry Lynn Watson of Meadow. The 16 year old junior at Meadow High died at the scene after a rear tire blow out caused the car to flip three times. Terry Alan Duncan, 18, also of Meadow, survived and was hospitalized. Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Baptist Meadow with interment at Meadow Cemetery. Watson, born June 25 1959 in Brownfield, lived in the Pool Community and was active in FFA and distributive education. Survivors include his parents a brother a sister a foster sister and two grandmothers.

Judge Grants Mistrial In Gibson Case Tuesday
A mistrial was granted in the State of Texas vs Charles Ray Gibson after defense attorney Dwayne Pruitt argued improper identification procedures. Testimony described a December 29 1974 robbery at D L Richards home with $4180 missing. Further proceedings include a guilty plea for Sarah Curiel and other cases slated for next term.
