Man Killed In One Car Wreck In Lynn County
Texas Highway Patrolmen James Johns and Thelbert Milsap investigated a Friday night one car crash inside the Lynn County line that killed Raydell Redman 30 of Post at the scene and left Fred Thomas Bufkin 25 of Post badly injured. Redman drove a 1968 Chevrolet that left the curve on U S 380 and overturned. Both men were employed by the Texas Highway Department in Post.

Jurors Called as 13 Cases Set for Trial in District Court
Thirteen felony cases are slated for trial when the 121st Judicial District Court convenes Monday with Judge M C Ledbetter presiding. Included is Leroy Hubbard charged with burglary of a private residence at night and Rc A Key charged with others.

Akers Reports Slow Voter Registration Ahead of 1969 Election
With only ten days to register, about 3 000 voters have registered in the county, far short of the 6 000 who registered for 1968. J D Akers, county tax assessor collector, urged all citizens to obtain a registration card, offered mail and in person options, and noted office hours 8 a m to 6 p m five days a week. Registration forms will be available at local banks and by mail via tax office. A list of 96 jurors and numerous county cases followed in the same report.

Joint meeting plans ambulance service study in Terry County
Brownfield City Council Terry Memorial Hospital District and Terry County Commissioners met at City Hall to address ambulance service. County Judge W T McKinney read a letter from Carroll Collier owner of the Brownfield Funeral Home stating he may discontinue service. license expires January 31. A committee will study the matter as none of the agencies will take on sole responsibility.
