First woman member takes oath in Brownfield council
Brownfield City Council held a historic session Thursday at City Hall. Nancy Wade was sworn in to fill the remainder of Bill Schoemann’s term, after the council honored Schoemann for nearly two years of service. The meeting considered downtown event proposals, street-use ordinances, and bids for police vehicles and a dump bed. Council members noted bids exceeded budgeted figures and directed staff to review estimates before March 6.
