The Terry County Sheriff's Department investigates a Saturday night break-in at Truman DuBose’s farm home. Entry used a hammer to beat the lock. tools marked with a D were stolen, along with batteries tires spark plugs and paint sprayed the house. Police also report multiple drunkenness arrests and minor accidents in the city.

A 1961 Kenworth truck driven by Dwa in Davis Williams of Lubbock collided with Jewel James Lightfoot of Sweetwater in a 1965 Oldsmobile station wagon on U S Highway 380. Union States Bond Election Opens March 5
The Union Independent School District calls a school bond election for March 5 totaling 160000. Polls run 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the school.
