Pat McMillan resigns as administrator of Brownfield Regional Medical Center during a Terry Memorial Hospital District board meeting. Mike Click will lead on a six month trial. McMillan will join the Methodist Hospital system in Lubbock. The board set April 7 for director elections and discussed EMS services.

On Monday Terry County Commissioners Court named part of a county road David Bailey Road to honor a local youth who died in an accidental shooting. The measure passed unanimously as Jasper Jowers noted the aid for ambulance crews. Russell Shrimpton of GTE outlined the 9 1 1 grid system and house sequencing. They also approved Girls Softball League Park renovations at 9 791 40 and a 9 000 General Fund budget amendment.
Thomas and his wife Kim Thomas announced their resignations at a Meadow Independent School District board meeting. He will take a similar role at Borden County High School in Gail. A private pesticide applicator program is scheduled for 8 30 a m Monday Feb 19 at Terry County Party House for local producers, says Extension Agent Tom Gaither. Changes by the Texas Legislature let certified applicators buy and apply restricted use pesticides during a five year grace period but prohibit delegating the task to employees.
Union ISD trustees approved Glenn Cunningham's contract for 1990 91 with the same raise as teachers. Superintendent Charles Clark told the NEWS the board took no action on personnel teaching staff. The meeting also addressed the upcoming trustees election.
The Brownfield City Council meets Thursday at 7 30 a m to approve bylaws contracts and articles for the Brownfield Industrial Development Corporation. They will review an RCA proposal for an Intermediate Sanction Facility and discuss an election judge absentee clerks lease with Howard Moorhead and a Republican polling place request for March 13. The brush hauling policy will also be discussed.
