MISD Superintendent to resign with wife at board meeting
Meadow Independent School District Superintendent Jimmy Thomas and his wife Kim are set to resign at Monday night’s board of trustees meeting. The 7 p.m. session in the superintendent’s office board room will address Thomas’s move to Borden County ISD. The board will also act on principals contracts and discuss the 1990-91 calendar, athletic changes, and staffing for next year.

Chamber directors approve 1990 operations budget

Stray dog destruction blamed on miscommunication in town
Billy Tidwell laments the death of his seven month old Australian Shepherd Champ after the dog escaped Thursday February 1 and was captured by City Animal Control the next day. He notes Champ was a $300 registered pet with lineage from a California state champion. Tidwell and his wife reported the missing dog to police, who relayed details to Animal Control, but the dog was ultimately destroyed on Tuesday at the shelter.
