Council okays 16935 bid for street, pole work and cable
Brownfield City Council accepted a low bid of 16935 from L F Construction Stamford for electrical distribution work to accommodate a Brownfield Community Antenna Television System. The package splits 8988.25 for cable work and 7946.75 for a 12 000 volt line to a new transformer.

Brownfield police arrested Jimmy Wayne Layland, 20, for burglary and possession of a prohibited weapon, and Edward Earl Davis, 19, for attempted burglary after a routine downtown patrol.
