Funeral services for Jim H. Moore, 74, are planned for 2 p m Thursday at Memorial Chapel of Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev L C Edwards of Fremont officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under Brownfield Funeral Home direction. He died Tuesday in St Marys Hospital Lubbock after a long illness. He resided on Rt 4 Brownfield. Survivors include his wife Mabel three sons James H Ulysses Kan Charles H and Joe B of Denton five daughters Mrs Don Smith Orville Calif Mrs Jiggs Tankersley Brownfield Mrs Dewayne Kisor San Angelo one sister Mrs Eunice Nivens Stinnett 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Public invited to the Brownfield chamber banquet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Junior High Cafeteria with Preston Smith as principal speaker. Tickets are $3, available at the Chamber Office or at the door. The program includes introduction of the 1965 board, recognition of retiring directors, and remarks by incoming president T A Wartes and retiring president Harry Elam. The event features dinner music by Becky Richardson and a Brownfield High School girls sextet led by Judy Durham and others.
