BHS Choir Members Earn UIL Honors at Lubbock Contest
Twenty five Brownfield High School choir members won UIL Solo and Ensemble honors at Evans Junior High in Lubbock. For BHS, a class III ensemble earned a division I, six freshmen earned division I solos, and a 11 member class II ensemble qualified for state. Five class I soloists also head to state in Austin. Joe Howard and Candace Elmore highlighted the group with high placements and upcoming All-State performances.

On Feb 1 at the Terry County Junior Livestock Show Barn judges crowned top prizes at the Brownfield show. Grand Champion lambs went to Casey Lewis and Misty Day led in the swine division with Neisha Ward as Reserve Champion. Grand Champion steer was shown by Nicholas Seaton with Tatum Henson Reserve and Showmanship winner.

The Terry County Livestock Show runs Thursday to Saturday at the Show Barn. Weigh-in is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, lambs at 10 a.m. Friday followed by swine, and steers at 9 a.m. Saturday with barbecue at noon and the premium sale at 1 p.m.
