Four July 1 vandalism actions by Terry County residents damaged two cars four tractors an irrigation system and damaged highway signs mailboxes and telephone lines near Brownfield. Brownfield Police report 263 criminal mischief calls in 1982 first 11 months with 197754 dollars in property damage plus 27000 dollars in burglaries.

Two Convicted In District Court Action
Two cases were disposed of in 121st District Court before Judge Ray Anderson during the latter part of the week. Sandra Cheney was found guilty of theft and sentenced to five years in the Texas Department of Corrections. Rosario Gordo Martinez pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to 30 days in Terry County jail. the felony theft charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.
