Cotton referendum vote set for Terry county Tuesday
Terry county farmers who planted cotton in 1953 will vote on a quota referendum at nine polling places including Meadow Co Op Gin office Challis Pleasant Valley Brownfield Union Pool Wellman Lahey Foster gin Tokio and Gomez Newsom gin. If two thirds vote yes quotas take effect with 90 percent parity loan on under quota production and penalties on overplanting.
