A late Wednesday shower brought 1.3 to 2.15 inches of rain across Terry County with high winds and hail in places. Damage reported included a barn and power lines at the Lee Hulse farm, and other minor impacts on rodeo grounds and cables. County Agent Jim Foy notes the rain helps dryland crops but won’t halt irrigation pumps. predictions point to a bumper cotton yield, with 90 000 to 105 000 bales anticipated.
