Sixth straight year BHS Spirit earns sweepstakes at UIL
The Brownfield Spirit of the Plains band won a sixth consecutive sweepstakes at the UIL concert and sightreading contest at Texas Tech. The 120 member group split into an honors band and a concert band. The honors band, directed by Blane Hinton, earned unanimous superior ratings from six judges across concert and sightreading, while the concert band received excellent in concert and superior in sightreading.

Eighteen felony cases set on 121st District Court docket
Eighteen cases involving 16 defendants are listed for this week’s 121st District Court Criminal Docket presided by Judge Ray Anderson. News wins 1986 PPA annual awards
