Wal Mart Coming to Brownfield Denied by City Manager

City Manager Dick Fletcher told the chamber and city council there are no remaining obstacles to Wal Mart locating in Brownfield. He cited Hallmark Builders renovating the old TG Y Building, a 10 000 square foot addition, power lines being updated, and 34 000 transformers on order, debunking rumors of a pushback occurring in the coming months.

Brownfield Dribblers head to National Tourney in Brownsboro

Brownfield Little Dribblers Senior League All Stars head to Brownsboro for the national tourney April 17 to 19 after winning the Dalhart regional. The Brownfield Red All Stars Minor League won the Dalhart regional, with Russell Perkins scoring 10 and Rhett Graham nine. The Major League Red All-Stars fell 46 44 to the Dalhart A team in the final round. Brownfield Senior League drew a bye into the national championship.
